Who we are
Calamo is an online service for ordering sworn translations in Luxembourg. This page explains how we handle your personal data.
Data we collect
Account data (name, e-mail address and a password that we store only in encrypted form, or your name and e-mail from Google if you sign in with Google); quote request data (name, e-mail, phone number, document details, notes and the documents you upload); and one technical cookie that keeps you logged in.
Why we use it
To prepare quotes, have your documents translated by a sworn translator, manage your account, contact you about your request, and meet our legal obligations. We rely on the contract with you, our legal obligations and our legitimate interest in running a secure service.
Who receives it
The sworn translator assigned to your request, and service providers who work for us: hosting (Cloudflare), database and file storage (Supabase), e-mail delivery (Google Gmail, Resend) and Google for sign-in. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
Your account is kept until you ask us to delete it. Quote requests and documents are kept only as long as needed to deliver the service and to meet legal obligations, then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and you can object to its use. Write to us at the address below. You may also complain to the Luxembourg data protection authority, the CNPD (cnpd.lu).
Cookies
We only use one essential cookie that keeps you logged in. Your language choice is stored in your browser. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
