Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before ordering.

What is a sworn translation, and when do I need one?

A sworn translation is certified as accurate and complete by a sworn translator, who vouches for it with a signature and an official stamp. Authorities usually ask for one for civil records, diplomas, court decisions and other official documents.

Which authorities accept your translations?

Our translations are made by court-sworn translators and accepted by Luxembourg ministries, communes, civil registries, courts and embassies. Requirements can differ by authority, so tell us where the translation will be used and we will confirm what is needed.

How is the price calculated, and is there a minimum?

The price depends on the document type, the number of pages (1 page ≈ up to 250 words), the language and the delivery speed. There is a minimum of €{min} per order, which covers certification, the official stamp and the e-signed PDF.

Is the estimate the final price?

The estimator gives a close estimate. Your exact price is confirmed in your free quote once we have seen your document, and it is the price you pay — no hidden fees.

How fast will I receive my translation?

Standard delivery takes 2–3 business days. Express delivery within 24 hours is available for +{express}%. Need it the same day? Mention it in your request and we will tell you if it is possible.

Can I send a photo or a scan? Do I need the original?

A clear photo or scan of every page is enough to start: all four corners visible, stamps and signatures readable. Some authorities also want the translation attached to the original or a certified copy — tell us which one, and we will advise you.

Do I get a PDF or a paper copy?

Every order includes an e-signed PDF by email. A stamped paper copy by post is available for €{paper} (posted within Luxembourg; other destinations on request). Many authorities accept the PDF, but some require paper — check with yours, or ask us.

Do you handle the Apostille or legalisation?

An Apostille or legalisation is issued by the competent state authority, not by the translator. We can advise you on the right procedure and help with it on request; the cost depends on your case.

What if there is a mistake in my translation?

Tell us and we will correct any error on our side free of charge and reissue the certified translation.

How do I pay?

After you accept your quote, you receive payment instructions by email. We start the translation once payment is confirmed.
